Happy September!
It’s so great to be back! On behalf of our entire school community, thank you for helping to make the first week of school so smooth. Students arrived happy to see one another and eager to learn. As educators, we could not ask for a better start to the year.
Please be reminded all health and permission forms are due by this Friday, September 9, 2022. We are printing the Student Directory and sending it home with students this Friday. We need your permission and any updated contact information by the end of the day Wednesday, September 7 if you would like to be included in the directory. I am reattaching the original “Welcome Letter” with full instructions.
As a reminder, this year you will find the lunch menu, sports schedule, general updates and calendars on our website - www.plainfieldschool.org. Please scroll to the bottom of the page and download the app to receive the most up-to-date notifications of news and events. Teachers are submitting photos and blurbs from their classes and our goal is to post information as it becomes available. We are still refining things so please do not hesitate to share your feedback by emailing Lisa Gradijan - lgradijan@plainfieldschool.org.
This year, as we “Connect Through Kindness,” we will prioritize Joy and Collaboration. We believe these are foundational to our ability to learn and grow as a school community. As we reconnect with the joy of learning and with one another, we have identified the following goals for 22/23:
- Increased Student Engagement
- Honed instruction and feedback related to learning skills and mindsets
- Emphasis on process & growth over product & perfection
I have shared the attached DRAFT 22/23 School Goals with the School Board for their review and input. Our Leadership Team will meet over the next couple of weeks to finalize and adopt our goals and the final version will be posted on the website. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or feedback.
