Go to:
The
Grantham Freecycle™ Group also covers Plainfield, Meriden Eastman,
Sunapee, Georges Mills, Croydon, and Cornish. The group is open to all who want
to "recycle" that special something rather than throw it away.
Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano or an old door, feel free to post
it. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself! Nonprofit groups are
also welcome to participate too! PLEASE NO PETS!
One
main rule: everything posted must be free. This group is part of The Freecycle
Network, a nonprofit organization and a movement of people interested in
keeping good stuff out of landfills.

Plainfield Riders
We postponed due to weather this week. Next meeting will be May 17,
8AM at the Safety on Wheels Event, Plainfield Elementary School. You're
encouraged to join the Safety on Wheels program 8-3 (Contact RoAnne Rogerson,
448-2549, sunnyledgefarm@aol.com for
signup) but we'd like to get a head count for continued interest in riding
as a group.
The Plainfield Riders is for kids K-8 and their parents who are
interested in riding their bike, learning new skills, and getting some
exercise. We will meet for the first time at Safety on
Wheels to sign in. Parents and children should come ready for a
short discussion of their interests and do an equipment check.
Leaders and parents will coordinate future periodic rides as skills and
interests dictate.
Whether your just learning to ride the pavement or want to find some new trails
to challenge yourself come on down. Come dressed for the weather and bring a
water bottle. All riders must wear a helmet. Parents of younger
riders are particularly encouraged to join us.
If you have questions call Terry Donoghue (469-3036, donohome@aol.com), or Bill Knight (469-3276,

Spring
The first day of
spring is
Breezy and slimy
The mothers are
giving
Birth to their baby
cubs
People are riding
bikes
And the mud is
Soft and rough
Between Kid’s toes
The moms get
mad because
their gardens
are getting
trampled on
In spring after
It rains a rainbow
Comes out and it
Is beautiful to
look at
To show spring
Is here
Robins fly back
And that is our
Sign
The streams are
Full of
Rubber boots
And kids
Getting muddy and
wet
By Emily Ball
