During late fall, students in grades 1-8 may enroll in the ski program which takes place Friday afternoons for 5 weeks in January and February. Organized by the Plainfield School Ski Committee, the program takes place at Whaleback. The cost of the program is provided by the participants. This includes fees for lessons, rentals, and transportation. Financial aid is available as needed by contacting the school counselor, Gail Malsin. This is considered part of our physical education program. For more information about the ski program, contact Naomi Goodwin or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Students not involved in the ski program participate in three weeks of F.A.S.T. or Friday Afternoon Special Time. Teachers provide instruction and/or supervision in other activities such as snowshoeing, cooking, knitting, and more.
