My name is Jill Canillas Daley. I grew up in Lebanon and have worked at Plainfield School for 10 years. I started out as a paraprofessional and moved into my current position, as the Library Media Specialist, last year. I love my job and enjoy working with the kids discussing books, research methods, and technology. I am working on earning my Master's in Education with the focus on LMS. Hopefully this part of my life will be completed within the next two years.

I live in Plainfield with my husband Bart, my son Paddy, who is a senior at Lebanon this year, and our daughter Esperanza who is second grade. Our house is an ever growing menagerie of animals that your children hear about in class. Currently we are owned by 4 horses, 1 mammoth (rescue) donkey, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 12 guinea fowl. Eventually I hope to add laying hens and bees to our small "farm." My summers are spend working as a landscaper, going to school, gardening, reading, riding and driving horses, and spending time with my family. This past summer my son and I read over 60 books from the school library so that we could make suggestions to students.

I hope that you check out my webpage off the school site as I try to update it monthly. I investigate resources for students and attempt to post them there. I have some excellent resources for tough topics such as copy right, ways to research, search engines, and sites that promote reading. Please peruse it often as my goal is to offer assistance to you and your child.

I look forward to another fun and exciting year with students at Plainfield. Please come in during library hours and check out what we are doing in here.
